FAQ

NDIS refers to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is an initiative brought in by the Australian government to give people with disabilities the help and support that they need to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

If you’re aged between 0-65 years and have a disability you may be eligible to receive funding from the NDIS.

Jade is a registered NDIS provider and can see NDIS, self and plan managed participants.

We have a team of in-centre therapists who can do one-off school and home visits for observational purposes but we are also building a diverse team of mobile therapists who can do regular school and home visits for therapy.

Yes we do! We have regular multi-disciplinary meetings and joint therapy sessions to ensure therapists can discuss client cases, collaborate on goal setting and share strategies.  On top of that, our support workers and therapists regularly communicate regarding each client’s specific needs, goals and how to best achieve their goals outside of therapy sessions. This is our point of difference at Jade, which we take great pride in.

Yes we do. Our therapy assistants work closely with our therapists and can continue working on the same goals.

At Jade, most of our therapy appointments are booked in for 1 hour which includes 45 minutes of face-to-face therapy and 15 minutes of admin time for the therapist to complete session notes and plan your next session. However, appointment times can be varied depending on the client’s needs.

We follow NDIS guidelines. Currently a 48 hour notice needs to be given to avoid cancellation fees. These fees are deducted from your NDIS funding.

A participant’s NDIS Plan funding is designed to last for the entire period of the plan. But we understand that situations can arise and funding can be used up much sooner than intended. If this happens, our team can assist in lodging a NDIS Plan Review well before the end date if appropriate

All our prices are exactly as define on the NDIS Price Guide (https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/price-guides-and-pricing)

NDIS will require a report to be done by the practitioners you see, usually towards the end of the plan to take to your NDIS review meeting. The progress report outlines if goals were achieved, if they need to be updated or if new goals need to be added for the next plan.
